John Charalampidis is an Agronomist at the Department of Food Science and Technology, Agricultural University of Athens. He worked from 1990 to 2002 at the Center for Renewable Energy Sources (CRES) in the Department of Rational Energy Use and in the Department of Energy Policy.

From 2002 until today he works at the Regulatory Authority for Energy with the main object of evaluating applications for RES projects. From 2002 to 2013 he worked in the Department of Decision Processing and Documentation unit as coordinator of the licensing process and evaluation of applications for Renewable Energy Sources projects. From 2013 to 2017 as coordinator of the Working Group for the monitoring of the Licensing of RES projects, from 2018 to 2020 as Head of the Department of Licensing Process Management & Registry Keeping.
