Vassilios V. Digalakis

Responsible for Higher Education, Former Deputy Minister of Education

Vassilios V. Digalakis was born in Chania in 1963.

He received the Diploma in EE from the National Technical University of Athens and the PhD degree in electrical and systems engineering from Boston University.

Ηe is a Professor in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. He has served as Rector of the Technical University of Crete and he served as President of the Hellenic Universities Rectors’ Synod.

In the 2019 national elections was elected as MP in Chania and he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Education, responsible for Higher Education.

He is married and has two children.
